The Hellenic Telecommunications and Post Commission (EETT) has received numerous complaints
about a number of emails sent to .gr domain names registrants.

The message encourages the registrants to register domain names with the same variable field of
the specific [.gr] Domain Name in different Registries (e.g., [.eu] Registry) with a multiannual
duration and at a specific cost.

EETT recommends that the registrants should be extremely careful before registering any domain
name and never provide their personal data to companies that they do not know.

Any person interested to register domain names, should address the relevant bodies (Registries /
Registrars).
