EETT publishes quality measurements for Universal Postal Service for the year 2013

May 7, 2014

EETT publishes the results of the quality measurements for the provision of Universal Postal
Service in domestic and international first priority mail for 2013, in line with its supervisory
and monitoring role in the postal market. According to the legal framework, the Hellenic Post
(ELTA) will remain as the Universal Postal Service provider in Greece until 2028.

Specifically, 90.5% of the domestic first priority correspondence was delivered within one
working day, recording a slight difference compared with 2012 (91.7%) and 99.7% was delivered
within three working days.

The average days of service for the outgoing international first priority mail, to and from
european countries, was estimated at 2.6 days in 2013, showing a slight improvement compared to
2012, when the corresponding average was 2.7 days. For incoming international mail, the
corresponding average performance days remained at the same level as in 2012, i.e., 3.1 days.
