Initiation of the tendering process for digital terrestrial television networks

EETT’s Plenary, recently and after conducting a public consultation, approved the publication of
the Notice of the Call for Tenders concerning the granting of spectrum rights of use for digital
terrestrial television.

According to the Notice of the Call for Tenders, the procedure concerns the granting of one
(1) spectrum right for national coverage and thirteen (13) rights for regional coverage, through a
multiple rounds auction with increasing price.

Interested parties are invited to submit to EETT binding applications for participating in
the tendering process on Thursday, January 30, 2014 from 10:00 to 11:00. In case there is no
binding application, EETT will declare the process unfruitful and will announce a new tender for
the award of four (4) spectrum rights of use for national coverage and thirteen (13) rights for
regional coverage.
